Great tent for the price, April 10, 2011 Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Ledge Sports Tarantula 2 Person Tent (92 X 58 - 42-Inch Height, 6.9-Pounds) (Sports) This is a great tent for the price. It has the same features as the expensive tents, but at a fraction of their price. pros- 2 doors so there is no having to crawl over one another, only around a pound heavier than the expensive tents, nice rain fly with vents and windows, cool tarantula logo, tarp floor that repels water(the expensive tents use the same material as the top to get it lighter, but it will absorb water), little loop on the ceiling for hanging a lantern etc, perfect size for two grown people, nice high ceiling so it doesn't condensate water vapor from breath in cold weather(the vents also help), rain fly door is nice to put shoes under so they don't get wet from dew or rain.
cons- doesn't pack very small(22in x 7in), i have to put it on the bottom of my 3400CI pack instead of inside.
overall, it is totally worth it if you don't have 300 dollars to spend on a "better" tent.

There is a reason the shipping wieght is 7 lbs!! That said it is a great tent for what it is but understand this is not a light wieght tent. Have used it on several hikes and so far no problems except I need to buy another one to cut my wieght.

Although it has a good design, it also has a cheap feel to it.
Pros:
1. Heavy Duty Bathtub style Floor (no need to have floor saver)
2. 2 Doors
3. A rain fly that features storage next to both doors
4. Love that there are only hooks to attach poles and no sleeves. Quick setup!
5. Seems to hold up in pretty strong wind. But haven't been able to set it up in the rain yet.
Cons:
1. Method to attach rainfly is plastic buckles held on by lightweight nylon webbing. When these break, there wouldn't be an easy fix. I prefer hooks that can't break, attached with some decent quality nylon webbing. Simpler is better.
2. Cheap clear plastic vinyl windows seem like a good idea, but just appear cheap.
3. Wish there would be more length. I'm only 5'9" and when I lay on a decent pad, my pillow and sleeping bag will still hit the ends of the tent and... Read more
